The Works

full-service design

Our team is skilled in leading and managing all phases of your project. When we say we provide “The Works”, we mean it. We have a detailed process for every project, taking you through the following steps from concept to completion and acting as your advocate every step of the way.

  • Before we start designing, we take time to get to know your business and establish the project goals, needs, and challenges. During this phase we identify your aesthetic vision and your space needs. We analyze various human factors which could include privacy needs, types of activities performed, items stored, equipment needed, company culture, acoustic requirements, how your employees work, etc.

  • Backed with the information gathered in the programming phase, our team will begin translating your goals and needs into initial space plans and design concepts. We perform code review at this initial level to ensure all requirements are met.

  • During this phase we fine-tune the design concept and finalize decisions regarding the plan layout, overall design, along with material, lighting, and fixture selections. At this point we engage our trade partners to develop engineering solutions based on the scope of work.

  • With approval of the finalized design, our team will create a full set of construction documents that will be used for General Contractor bidding, obtaining a building permit, and the full construction of your space.

  • Our team can fully manage the building permit approval process with local jurisdictions, as well as manage bidding of the project to 2-4 General Contractors so you can be confident you are getting competitive pricing.

  • At this phase, construction has begun! Our team will stay involved through construction completion to ensure the project is built according to our design and specifications. This process provides a certain level of checks-and-balances and allows us to serve as your advocate on site.

  • A design project is more than just the built environment and can fall flat with the wrong furnishings. We help our clients source and select Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) for their spaces. We partner with commercial furniture dealers to provide a full range of selection, procurement, and installation services.
